An estimated 16 million Americans find themselves living with rosacea. Affecting both men and women between the ages of 20-50, rosacea is often confused with other conditions such as adult acne or a form of lupus.
Causes
Rosacea is a common skin condition, typically hereditary. Anything that causes your rosacea to flare up is considered a trigger.
Treatments
- Topical products calm the skin as well as reduce the red, ruddy appearance. If you find yourself in need of stronger treatment, oral medications can be very effective in reducing flare-ups and all signs of rosacea.
- Our cosmetic services include laser treatment for rosacea, the Vbeam Perfecta, which treats the small, visible blood vessels, greatly reducing their appearance.
