Whether you’re longing to reverse the signs of aging or deal with a health issue that would otherwise call for invasive treatment, you have great options for looking and feeling better with Radiesse.

Developed with safety and longevity in mind, Radiesse is an injectable wrinkle filler that offers superior versatility for both cosmetic and reconstructive use without surgery. What sets Radiesse apart from other dermal fillers? The answer is in its durability, longevity, and versatility. This filler works to add volume under the skin and over time, the benefits of Radiesse continue by stimulating your body’s own natural collagen. The natural results have been shown to last a year or more in patients, making the treatment results both immediate and long-lasting.

Radiesse is made of very tiny, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. The microspheres (particles) form a scaffold through which your body’s own collagen grows, and this produces the desired long-term effect. These unique advantages make Radiesse the ideal choice for facial shaping and contouring.

Radiesse can be used for:

  • Smile lines (nasolabial folds from edge of nostril to corner of mouth)
  • Marionette lines (from angles of mouth down)
  • Nose reshaping
  • Cheek enhancement
  • Chin enhancement
  • Jaw Line contouring
  • Facial fat loss (lipoatrophy)

Treatment with Radiesse

Step 1: Consultation with an experienced Radiesse provider

During your consultation, Dr. Schlesinger or Dr. Walker will examine your skin and discuss how Radiesse treatment can enhance the contour and shape of your face to restore a vital and youthful appearance. Since no skin testing is needed, you can have your treatment the same day.

Step 2: Cleanse and fill

After a thorough cleansing of the area to be treated, Radiesse is injected in a narrow, continuous stream in the proper skin plane to achieve the desired facial augmentation and contouring. A combination of topical measures and local numbing will be used so treatment is comfortable and relaxing

Step 3: No downtime

Radiesse injection is a non-surgical approach that involves a simple in-office procedure. Treatment is convenient and quick. Usually, mild swelling and redness occur at the injection sites that may last 1-2 days. Sometimes, a bruise may be noticeable. In most cases, you may resume your routine activities immediately following the procedure. You will be provided with specific instructions.

Step 4: See immediate results

Radiesse can be placed to provide volume and correction without the need to over correct, an advantage over many other filler products. Therefore, your doctor can mold, shape and contour the areas of your face to provide immediate and optimal improvement.

Step 5: Long lasting correction

You have successfully completed your Radiesse contouring treatment. In most facial applications, Radiesse should provide a correction that last one to two years. Sometimes, an occasional touch-up is needed.

Our Patient’s Story

“As we get older, we all look at our face… and our necks… and some of us race out to do something about it. Whether it’s plastic surgery or laser treatments or injectable fillers or even more moisturizers, we will see ourselves in the mirror every day and think about what we can do on our budget. That’s a nasty word in this economy but something we must take into consideration when we embark on improving ourselves. Even drug store products are rather expensive.

So we have made the decision to do something… and some of us even try several options and several different providers before we find just the right fit. That’s okay – unless we’re talking about plastic surgery! I myself tried different procedures and different providers before I stumbled onto Todd Schlesinger and Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston… and stumbled is just about the right word for what happened!

But I found them… and I am so happy with Dr. Schlesinger and the staff at Dermatology and Laser Center. It’s like I’m a member of their family.

But to get back to your hands…

Every December, Dermatology and Laser Center hosts a wonderful holiday party that they call “Glow Night”. In 2008, Dr. Schlesinger used me for a demonstration and did my hands. I came in a week early and he did just one hand. At the party, I walked around showing off my hands… and boy, could you tell the difference! That night, he did the other hand.

Until then, I hadn’t ever really considered that my hands looked old. I was having laser treatments for my face and neck and I was very happy with the results. But hadn’t really looked at my hands and what they told the world about me.

I know about the economy because we had a house on the market for over 2 years BUT when the house finally sold…

I went and got my hands done again!

This injectable filler is Radiesse and is the only FDA approved filler for hands. It doesn’t hurt to have it done. Let me say that again!

It doesn’t hurt to have it done! Yes, it’s a needle, but the skin on the back of your hands is pulled up… you don’t even feel a prick.

Now I know that you’ve looked at your hands … what are you waiting for? Look at the pictures of my hands… and look at your hands. Grab that phone and call 843-556-8886 to schedule your appointment.

You’ll be happy with the results.
