Clinical Research

Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas logo

Our affiliate, the Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas, with newly expanded headquarters at 1364 Ashley River Road in the West Ashley district of Charleston, has attained national renown for its contributions over twelve years to dermatological and medical research. Founded by Dr. Todd Schlesinger, the Center’s team of physicians, physician’s assistants and clinical research coordinators network with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and other research organizations to conduct clinical investigations and trials of new or improved medical and OTC drugs, cosmeceuticals, medical devices and services to expand treatment options for patients and alleviate illness and suffering.

The CRCC team is capable of handling all phases of clinical investigation and all stages of the research process. These include creating investigational concepts, writing an appropriate protocol to investigate the concept, carrying out the procedures of the protocol, analyzing the data, and producing results manuscripts for publication. Such skills among the research team enable CRCC to offer product development services and consulting, contract clinical research services and management, and Investigator-initiated trial services.

We are currently seeking patients who meet the qualifications to volunteer for our clinical trial studies. While it is important to know that multiple visits to our office may be required during study involvement and commitment, we encourage anyone with interest to fill out our application form. If you do not fit the requirements for our current studies, your application will be kept on file for future studies and you may be contacted at a later date.
