Clinical Medical Assistant
Robert MacBain didn’t know quite what he was in for when walking through the doors of Dermatology and Laser Center of Charleston, but ask any member of our staff and you’ll find he was quickly embraced by all here at DLCC. A native Charlestonian (yes indeed, born and raised in Charleston!), Robert graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Minor in Psychology. Having worked extensively in USC’s School of Medicine Orthopedics Clinic in the research capacity, Robert was eager to return to the Lowcountry and continue his path in the medical field.
A far cry from orthopedics, Robert has enjoyed learning his new discipline of medical, research and cosmetic dermatology. Serving as aid to Dr. Todd E. Schlesinger, Robert assists on a majority of surgical excisions and biopsies as well as during Mohs Procedures. When not in the office he’ll tell you his primary hobbies are fishing and boating, however as we all learned at our 10th Anniversary Celebration, Robert isn’t shy to display his mad bowling skills given the opportunity. We know he’s practicing at least once or twice a month!
We could not be happier to have Robert as a member of the DLCC team of clinical medical assistants and look forward to his growth here at our practice.
