Gina O’ Callaghan, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Gina, a native of the Detroit suburbs, is a magna cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences and holds a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University. Upon graduation, she worked in a Michigan rural family practice assessing, treating and managing acute, chronic and preventative care patients of all ages. Moving to Charleston with her husband, an orthopedic physician and surgeon, she served for two years as a PA in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.
As her interests in dermatology grew from clinical rotations in PA school and frequent experience treating skin conditions, disorders and injuries encountered in family and internal medicine, Gina chose to specialize in dermatology and completed coursework and conferences provided by the American Academy of Dermatology. Her dream is now fulfilled with professional memberships in the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the South Carolina Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Gina is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Gina and her husband have happily escaped cold Northern winters for our Lowcountry, where they enjoy the beaches, kayaking, new friends and their dog, Belle.
