Quick Tips: Healthy Living and Your Skin

yoga studioIf you follow us on Pinterest you know we’re not just concerned about your skin – we like to focus on the bigger picture, your over all wellness and well-being.  Why?  Because things you do each day can make an appearance on your body’s largest organ, your skin.

Lack of sleep? Don’t be surprised if you see bags under your eyes and lose a touch of your skin’s luster and glow.

Really stressed out? Say hello to a possible acne, eczema or psoriasis breakout. (Because that’s exactly what we need when we’re already stressed!)

How about dining at fast food joints for a majority of your meals? That too can lead to breakouts, the gradual break down of collagen, and loss of your overall glow.

On the flip side…

Exercise often? Awesome! Sweat is a great way for your body to release toxins and impurities. Clear pores, anyone?

Load up on vegetables, fruits and leafy greens? A good step in the right direction with powerhouse vitamins and antioxidants. Work your way from the inside out!

Gotta have your minimum 8 hours of sleep at night? Your body, and your skin, will appreciate the time to clean and reset itself.

When it comes to taking care of your skin and your health, it’s better to be proactive than reactive.  Products and treatments can only enhance the framework you already have in place, so why not make it as healthy of a canvas as possible?
